How does Tan Buddy calculate my safe tanning time?

Tan Buddy uses your selected skin type (Fitzpatrick scale), current UV index for your location, and general dermatological guidelines to estimate a recommended session duration. These are estimates only — always use your best judgment and consult a professional for personalized advice.

Why does the app need my location?

Location access allows us to fetch accurate, local UV index data for your area. You can deny location permission, but UV readings may be less accurate or unavailable. Location is never sold to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. Go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone, select Tan Buddy, and tap Cancel Subscription.

How do I delete my account and data?

Email support@tanbuddy.app with the subject line "Delete My Account" and we will process your request within 30 days.
