Tan Buddy provides tools to track sun exposure, monitor UV index levels, set tanning session timers, and receive personalized recommendations based on your skin profile. The App is intended for informational and personal wellness purposes only.
4. Health and Safety Disclaimer
THE APP DOES NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE AND IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL GUIDANCE. Tanning and sun exposure carry inherent health risks, including skin damage, premature aging, and skin cancer. UV index readings, session timers, and recommendations are estimates based on general guidelines and may not be accurate for your specific circumstances.
Always consult a qualified healthcare provider or dermatologist before making decisions about sun exposure, tanning, or skin care. Use appropriate sun protection (SPF) as recommended by health authorities. You assume all risks associated with your use of the App and any tanning or sun exposure activities.
5. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@tanbuddy.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the App
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks
- Upload malicious code or content
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
- Use the App in a way that violates applicable laws or regulations
7. Subscriptions and Payments
Some features may require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and refund policies. Pricing, billing cycles, and cancellation options are displayed at the time of purchase. You may manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID account settings.
8. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, content, trademarks, and logos, is owned by Tan Buddy and protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT UV DATA WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TAN BUDDY AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING ANY HEALTH-RELATED OUTCOMES FROM SUN EXPOSURE.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tan Buddy from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Tan Buddy is established, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where prohibited by applicable consumer protection laws.
